Xello (formerly Career Cruising), is a career development tool, whereby students in collaboration with educators are well prepped to be future ready in terms of what they will do at the end of their high school education.
These assessments enables students to see what careers they are compatible with through a matchmaking test, as well as providing input about themselves. One of the few challenges involved in these tests is how to keep students engaged.
When this concept below was first pitched to stakeholders, goals and plans was not fully concieved yet whithin the new app being developed. Although Xello never went through with this concept, I continue to still have strong gut feelings about it to this day.
With a potential of having 600+ careers in the application's database, Xello had an ambitious project of obtaining professional photographs for each career. I was given the responsibility of ownership in this product, which entailed many responsibilities like art direction, enforcing company creative and technical guides to the images, as well as management of the assets.
Throughout the application, students are able to save options that maybe of interest to them. This section serves as a respository of options users have saved.
Explore options is the central hub for users who wish to surf through their options. Their options are comprised of careers, schools, and programs.
